A Few More from Alexa...

We  got the cd of pictures from our session with Alexa today and I wanted to post some more favorites.  This first bunch is all Elijah sleeping.  He was dead asleep when Alexa arrived and it took a whole lot of poking and prodding to wake him up.  At least we got some sweet sleeping pictures first!

Mommy loves you...

And so does Daddy!
And so does Aunt Konni!

Some outdoor shots...

It was rainy, but we managed to get some good photos outside anyway.

Congratulations, Jeff and Rachel!

Kirk and I are so excited that our friends, Jeff and Rachel, welcomed their new son to the world at 1:21 am this morning!!  His name is Mason Patrick and he weighed 8lbs, 3oz.  As far as we know, Rachel and Baby Mason are doing great.  We are anxiously awaiting pictures of the little guy and even more anxiously awaiting the chance to meet him!  Kirk and Jeff were roommates all 4 years at TU and we are hoping that Elijah and Mason can be the next generation Taylor roomies (nothing like planning out the future for your kids, right?)!

Jeff, Rachel, and Mason, we are so excited for you and looking forward to seeing you soon!

So cute!

Kirk's cousin Alexa took some pictures of us and Elijah when we were in North Carolina.  Check them out at her blog: www.alexasphoto.blogspot.com.  We are so happy with how they turned out! Thanks again, Alexa!

Happy Birthday, Campbell!

This past weekend Elijah and I had the chance to go to PA for Cam's first birthday party.  I can't believe she's one!  We really love you, Campbell, and loved celebrating with you.  Jess and Kev, great party!
The birthday girl's cupcake!
I'm about to eat cake!
Here I go!
Yum! (Sorry about the eyes here...must have been a weird glare)
Is everyone watching?
It's present time! Cam was more interested in her rubber toy than this bball hoop Kirk and I gave her, but I'm sure she'll grow into it!
Elijah enjoying his cousin's party!
So many presents, so little time!
Looks like she's pleased with the outcome.
A quick picture of the cousins before Cam heads to bed.

A Few Favorites

Just a few favorite pics from the weekend.

Aunt Rach and Elijah (stole this picture from Rachel).
Elijah sharing some smiles with Uncle Kevin.
He loves his Aunt Jess too.
Yes, Jess and I are wearing the same sweatshirt.  We didn't plan it, I promise.
Great Grandma with the kids.

Lots of people to love...

Elijah just had one adoring fan after another while we were home.  Here's a few of the pics.

Allie and Elijah having a great conversation.
Friends already!
Steph and Bob came to meet him too! Steph is coming out to visit us in two weeks and we are excited we get to see her again!!
And of course, Elijah wanted to meet Lauren as well!
Here's a novel idea: take a picture without a baby in it.  Love you, Lauren!

Grandparents, Great Grandparents, and a Great Aunt!

In addition to being able to hang out with my immediate family, I was so glad that Elijah got to meet both my grandmothers and my aunt while we were home.  Kirk and I have often thanked the Lord that we are blessed with a strong Godly heritage and Elijah is fortunate to have met just a few of those wonderful people! And let's be honest, they are pretty fortunate to have met Elijah too :).

We had a good time having lunch at Great Grandma Spier's place!
He also got to hang out with Great Grandma McGuckin (who will be called G.G.)
Elijah also enjoyed the company of Great Aunt Lynn (or as she is called by the children, "Great Aunt Mimi Yinnie".  The reason for that is because my sister Jess couldn't say her L's when she was little, so she called Aunt Lynn "Aunt Yinnie".)
And who could forget the grandparents?
Besides that Elijah is sleeping, I really love this picture!

Elijah's First Big Trip!

This weekend we had a great time in High Point, NC visiting Mom and Dad Duncan and Konni.  They moved into a new house this summer and Kirk and I had not yet had a chance to see it, so we figured we'd take a long weekend and go spend some time with them, see the house, and give Elijah the chance to hang out with his grandparents and aunt! We had a great time with them.   Elijah was a champ on the plane going and coming home which made us very happy!

Unfortunately, my camera battery died on the way down there and I didn't bring my charger, but fortunately, the Duncans took some pictures and shared them with me.  Thanks guys! Here's a little review of the events of the weekend!

Elijah was as happy as can be on plane ride down.
Mommy showing Elijah what North Carolina looks like.  He loved looking out the window!
