Loving his life. When we asked him at the end of the day what he did today, "Dwive a caw" was his first response.
Probably the coolest part of the museum was the preschool playland, just for kids under 5. Elijah really enjoyed exploring.
He loved all the balls in the water table.
He looks mad, but he's really just intrigued.
Daddy and Leah enjoyed watching E.
Next, we hit up the sand table. Elijah slid right in between these 2 girls and took his place. Haha.
Very serious about his work.
The train table was also a hit.
He didn't stay in one place very long, however.
Sharing some of his finds with Mommy and Leah.
They had this exhibit where you could pick up the phone, hit a button, and hear the story of an actual Hoosier. Instead, Elijah just used it to talk to Daddy. It's a good thing because Kirk pressed one of the buttons and the guy told a story about how he went to a concert and gunshots starting flying everywhere. Yikes...maybe not age appropriate??
Leah was so good. She entertained herself with her own feet...
...and the little birdie on her carseat.
Running around!
This was a really cool contraption that sent pool balls up and down it...very hard to explain, very fun to watch!
Playing hopscotch with Daddy. Pretty sure he was fascinated with this only because it is on a Barney video :).
Reading his birthday book from Mommy and Daddy "A Day at the Farm" on the way home.
To top it all off tonight, we gave Elijah one is favorite things: a cupcake! He wasted no time digging in and got very angry if anyone tried to touch it!
"Mm, mm, mm" -Elijah
Good day for Elijah.

Happy Anniversary, Kirk. What a crazy, awesome, and sometimes challenging 3 years. I love you.

I am so blessed.

Video time.

Kirk and I are so entertained by Elijah when he is watching his videos. He gets SO into them. He is either sitting SO still watching it intently or up and dancing around like a crazy person. It's hilarious. Kirk took a video of him dancing to the "number limbo" which is is favorite Barney song and we will have to get that uploaded soon so you can be entertained as well. This morning I snapped a few pictures of the kids watching their video.

Leah has recently become very intrigued by Barney too. Elijah looks very annoyed that I am interrupting him while he's watching.
This is the stance E takes right before he's gonna bust a move.
Leah's head is getting heavy.
I'm trying to dance here, Mommy.

Cuddling.

You'll have to excuse my gross appearance in these pictures. Both kids were in my lap this morning and Kirk snapped these. I absolutely love cuddling with these 2 more than anything .

Despite the fact that I hadn't gotten dressed yet or brushed my hair, this is one of my favorite pictures.
After Kirk took this one he said "Too close". I dont think so! For some reason, I LOVE it.
A great hand-me-down hat from cousin Cam.
Isn't she just sooo pretty?

Snow!

We ventured out in the snow today. We've got 3 or 4 inches on the ground and it's still coming. I knew we would spend more time bundling up the kids than we spent outside, but I wanted to give it a try anyway! Leah loved being out in it. Elijah didn't love walking in but liked to be carried around in it.

Love this one of Daddy and Leah. Thanks for the hand-me-down snow suit, Cam!
Love this picture.
We tried to get one of the kids together. We just laid poor Leah in the snow. She couldn't move...it's sad and funny at the same time.
There we go...Daddy's helping her sit up.
My 3 favorite people in the snow!

Exersaucer!

Leah loves her exersaucer that she got from Grandma and Grandpa Spier for Christmas. She can only stay in for a few minutes before she gets tired but she is very intrigued by all the colors and loves seeing herself in the mirror :). Elijah likes it too...I will have to take a picture of him in it sometime...hilarious! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for all the fun!

Look at me, Mommy!
She has become the queen of not only spit-up, but drool now too :).
It's hard to get her to smile in there because she is concentrating so hard!

Great day with friends!

It was so fun to have an unexpected visit with some college friends today. Kelly called me earlier in the week and said Brian and Darla were in Indiana for Christmas and were gonna be hanging out at their house on New Years Day. Jacki and Brad were in town too seeing Jacki's family, so we all got to hang out today! It was wonderful. I love these girls (and their families) so much.

Brad and Kelly just built a new house and it's beautiful. They were great hosts.
Brad, Jacki, and Clara (Brian and Darla's daughter).
Kelly, Jacki, me, Darla. Friends for 8 years and still going strong :).
Clara, all bundled up and ready to go (the Peters began their long trek home today).
So fun to see you all!
