They had a great little petting zoo. Elijah loves to look at all kinds of animals.
Enjoying his first hayride!
The view from the tractor.
We let Elijah explore the pumpkins.
He loved it!
My baby and me in the pumpkin patch.

He matched the pumpkins perfectly!
he was very pleased that we were letting him crawl around in the dirt.
Daddy and Elijah "tapping" the pumpkins.  Tapping is one of Elijah's favorite things to do right now.
This is when we decided we should probably get him out of the dirt.  Should've known even the pumpkin would go in his mouth!

I'm not sure these two could get any cuter.

Kirk with our "perfect pumpkin"...which we did not buy because we didn't have enough cash.
Happy fall from the Duncans!
I thought Elijah might be interested in climbing on the hay bales.  I was wrong.
They had a cannon that you could shoot gourds out of.
Kirk's idea :).
We tried to get Elijah's face in a pumpkin and had several failed attempts.
So I got up really close to try to get his attention. You can't see that it's a pumpkin anymore, but I still absolutely love this picture!
All done! Let's ride on Daddy's shoulders to the car!

Friends

Since Elijah was born, Kirk and I have had several friends who have also had babies, and all of them have been boys. Elijah is happy to have some buddies...he really does like looking at the other babies (and touching, which we're working on) and I'm sure these guys will have a blast together as they get older. Anyway, we are thankful for good friends and here is a picture of some of them!

Hunter, Lily, Owen, and Elijah. 3 out of 4 is not bad...everyone looking but Hunter, who is clearly not interested in being photographed.

This post is for you, Mom!

Ok, this first picture isn't totally for my mom.  I just wanted you all to see one of Elijah's favorite new hobbies.  Every once in a while he decides he needs a break from crawling, she he just sprawls out on the floor and lays there for a few minutes. We think it's hilarious!
Take a load off, Elijah!
And this is just too cute of a picture not to share.
Ok, here's the part for my mom.  I wanted you to see the pictures of him in the super cute outfit you gave him! I love the overalls...one of my favorite things that Elijah wears!
This picture makes my heart melt.

The coffee table is acting as our gate at the moment.  We've yet to find a gate that fits our doorway.  I welcome your suggestions...so far Walmart and BabiesRUs have nothing that fits (even online!).
Believe it or not, this is not a sad face.  It's just an ordinary face for his these days.
Yup, mommy still has that darn camera out.
I love these little booties too.  They are from Brian and Darla...I thought they looked cute with this outfit.
I brought Elijah in the kitchen with me while I baked.  He likes climbing on the rails.

Too cute!

Today when I got home from MOPS, Elijah had fallen asleep in the car, so I took him right up to his crib and left his sweatshirt on because I didn't want to wake him. Well, when I went up to get him after he woke up, he was standing in his crib with his hood on! It was the cutest thing so I had to run and get my camera.  Vanessa, this is the sweatshirt you gave him.  He wore it for the first time today and I LOVE it!

Hi Mommy!
Why are you taking pictures of me instead of getting me out of here?
I love it when this kids wakes up.  He is always this happy when I got to get him!

What are you looking at?
Another common sight when I walk into Elijah's room...chewing on the crib. Yum!
I want to smile but the flash is so bright.
While I was snapping pictures in E's room, I remembered that I had never shared the Uppercase Living piece I put above his crib.  I like how it turned out.
How can you not fall in love?

He Never Stops...

I wanted to post a recent video for those of you who haven't seen Elijah lately.  He is a wild man.  He has no fears whatsoever.  As an example, for a short period of time we were placing one of our big overstuffed pillows in between our tv and our chair so that Elijah would not be able to escape into the dining room.  This lasted for about a day until Elijah realized he could climb up on top of the pillow and roll himself over back down to the floor on the other side.  Needless to say, gate time is upon us :).  Anyway, I thought this video was a good depiction of how he is constantly on the move.  Enjoy!
